Assignment Title: DESIGN & BUILD CONTRACT FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF THE OLD EXISTING COPRA BUILDING AT SALELOLOGA, SAVAII INTO PACKING HOUSE FACILITY

The implementation of this project through the Government of Samoa is to undertake the required scope of works for the redevelopment of its old and abandoned concrete structure located in the MAF compound at Salelologa, Savaii.
The objective is to provide more building facility to house the packing operations for exporting of crops productions in Savaii. The work, generally consists of the engineering assessment of the existing old copra house, and subsequently the construction of the new roof structure, reinforcement of existing walls (if required), installation of windows and doors to existing openings, electrical, mechanical & hydraulic services and provision of toilet facilities. In addition, the site shall have sufficient space at its eastern side (frontage) for container laydown area.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries invites suitable firms who are interested to Design and Build for the Redevelopment of the old existing Copra building into a Packing house facility at Salelologa, Savaii to indicate their interest in providing their service as a Design and Building Firm. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the given services (ie: Structural Engineering Service, Civil Engineering Services, Building Services – Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics and Fire, Topographical Survey, Environmental/Safeguards Services and Computer aided and drafting services)
The proposed project personnel are essential for this contract:
- Project/Contract Manager – Proven track record of similar projects with role as PM or CM
- Structural/Civil Engineer – min. Bachelor of Engineering and IPES CPEng
- Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) Technician – min. Certificate relevant to building construction
- Environmental/Safeguard Expert – min. Bachelor Science Degree or relevant to environmental & safeguard
- Construction Site Manager/Foreman – min. Certificate relevant to building construction works.
It is the requirement that interested Firm include a statement addressing each submission required in Section ll (b). These have to be forwarded both by electronic and hard copies. All expressions of interest must be addressed and delivered to the address below by 25th April, 2022, by 11:00 am.
